After a career in Dental Assisting and serving as a volunteer in the Children’s Ministry, Karen felt a strong call to be the Director of Children’s Ministries here at First Baptist Church. Karen desires that children learn from a young age the importance of a relationship with Christ and learning Bible scripture that will always remind them of God’s Love and Forgiveness.
Karen is married to Harry, and they are parents of Brandon, and Brooke, and Sara Beth. In her spare time, Karen enjoys reading, shopping, crafts, and spending time, especially vacations, with her family.
Nancy Lester became a Christian when she was 12 years old. She has been a member of FBCCLOVER since 1952, when she and her husband Bill moved from Forest, Va. with their oldest daughter. In the fall of 1976, after Bill had a massive heart attack, the Deacons asked if she would like to come to work at the FBCCLOVER. She started right away doing all the custodian duties. Then, as there was a growth in the church and additions made, she was asked to be Building Superintendent.
Nancy has five children, Jackie, Pam, Zach, Libby and Lisa, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She loves gardening and other crafts when time allows.
Janice is the office manager at FBCCLOVER. She has worked at the church for almost 2 years. She was married to the love of her life, Keith, for 35 years before God called him home.

Tommy worked with the youth at FBCCLOVER for 12 years and became youth director in January 2017. He has lived in Lake Wylie his whole life. He was a very, very lost teenager. After a few years of God following His basic plan laid out in Romans 1, allowing Tommy to wallow in his own sin, He was able to get his attention. He gave his life to Christ in 1997 and was set on a very different path.
He married his wife, Allison, in 1998. They have 2 biological daughters (Jude and Ellie) and a house full of other random food vacuums (their friends) that they call their own. He wouldn’t have it any other way!
Tommy believes teenagers don’t have to make the same mistakes he made. If we show them the love, mercy, and grace of Jesus Christ while helping them understand that God DOES have a plan for them, they can then go out and change the world around them.
